Beef Broth Challenge
Part 2
The last 24hrs and recovery day…
So the next 24hrs wasn’t as easy. No matter how much broth I drank I was still hungry. I spent most of the day trying to keep my mind occupied on things that would distract me from being hungry.
I tried reading, listening to music, editing, and anything else. Same results. I could tell by the way the day went on that my head wasn’t clear, it was just my body reacting to lack of hard food. Not only was my stomach constantly growling but it was making me have way less energy than the day before. Maybe I didn’t make my bone broth correctly? Maybe I wasn’t ready? I have no idea what the reasons were for my reactions to this.
Coming off the 48hrs, I woke up like a had the flu. I was somewhat nausious and very light headed. My allegery came back way harder than before. I really thought I made myself sick from this. First thing I did was make myself pancakes and eggs. After a few hours I felt better. No more lightheaded, no more flu like systems, and could breathe again. The rest of the day I ate smaller protein meals, which seemed to contiune to help my body out.
Forethought, I’ve been in situations before where food was limited and was working many consitent 20hr days with lack of sleep which I would attribute this bone broth challenge to. Maybe it was my body reacting the same way it did when put under that type of stress again. I’m not sure I would do this again, maybe for a shorter period next time. I think for now, I’ll stick to what has been working. Can’t remember the last time I got sick. It been years, I must be doing the right thing.
